Mono, Ontario — September 21, 2017 — Fix Auto franchise strategic partners from across Ontario converged on Hockley Valley Resort in Mono, Ontario, for the annual Fix Auto Canada Ontario Regional Conference and Tradeshow. The event drew together approximately 80 attendees to learn about the latest updates to Fix Auto Canada’s operations, marketing and sales initiatives as well as an opportunity to meet with suppliers, fleet and insurance partners. Just as important, the meeting gave Fix Auto shop owners the chance to provide feedback on how certain programs are working in the field.

Steve Leal, President of Fix Auto World, opened the meeting with a quick look back at Fix Auto’s history. It had to be quick, as the bulk of his presentation focused on the current state of the network and how to drive business forward into the future.

Leal outlined how the network will continue to support franchisees with new programs coming out to help them streamline production and office processes. Leal also discussed plans already in motion to improve existing programs based on franchisee feedback.

Fix Auto was also pleased to welcome Brigitte Pesant, Director of Collision Programs for the Automotive Industries Association (AIA) of Canada, as a special guest speaker. As the collision industry continues advance rapidly, it is increasingly important for shop owners to keep current with the equipment and training. The significance of the Canadian Collision Industry Accreditation Program (CCIAP) is becoming very clear. Accredited shops demonstrate to customers and industry partners that they have the skills, training and equipment to repair the most recent vehicles.

Feedback is an important part of the process. Leal made it clear during his presentation that the network is committed to looking at what’s working and what can use improvement for each of its franchisee programs. This, he said, allows the network as a whole to continuously improve.

Breakout sessions took place after Leal’s presentation, each with a particular theme. Individual sessions covered marketing, sales and operations. The topics discussed, from innovative operational tools to data regarding Fix Auto’s relationships with insurers, promise help franchise partners get all the information and resources to help drive their businesses forward.

The breakout sessions offered franchisees the opportunity to discuss best practices in these areas in a smaller and more intimate setting, with Fix Auto Canada corporate staff with significant experience in those particular areas.

As an addition to the annual conference, the Fix Auto Masters Golf Tournament was also held. The annual tradition gave the franchise owners an opportunity to come together and enjoy a day out on the course. There were activities held out on the course with the goal of raising funds for the Ronald MacDonald House Charities Canada. The Fix Auto team raised $10,000 to help RMHC provide families of sick children with a home to stay at while their child is being treated at a nearby hospital.

Fix Auto Canada will host further Regional Conferences in the coming weeks.
