Scarborough, Ontario— On February 3, the CARSTAR Johnny K Group participated in the Annual Insurance Industry Sip n Slip Curling Bonspiel and raised $2,850 for cancer care and research.
According to a recent LinkedIn post, the CARSTAR Johnny K Group “rocked the ice” where “they didn’t just curl—they crushed it.”
Alongside raising $2,850 for the Women in Insurance Cancer Crusade (WICC), the group also donated four raffle baskets which helped raise even more funds.
The Insurance Industry Sip n Slip Curling Bonspiel has to date, raised $22,950 for WICC and has been collecting funds since 2008.
Johnny Kloeckes, President of CARSTAR Johnny K Group, and who participated in the event, further commented that “its always a blast to help raise money for a great cause… the curling was intense and my team mates are incredible!!! whaaaahooo!!!!”
