Hamilton, Ontario — December 5, 2017 — The CARSTAR Waterloo-Wellington Business Group has offered a helping hand to local volunteers serving patients in need, with a recent donation to the St. John Ambulance.
The CARSTAR locations – including CARSTAR Cambridge, CARSTAR Elmira, CARSTAR Kitchener King St., CARSTAR Kitchener Shirley Drive and CARSTAR Waterloo – joined forces to donate a 2017 Mazda CX-5, with a one-year lease, to St. John Ambulance for a second term. Staebler Insurance Brokers also donated $1,500 toward one year of insurance on the vehicle.
“It is always heartwarming when our local CARSTAR centres work together to benefit the community,” said Michael Macaluso, President of CARSTAR North America. “We’re proud to be able to support St. John Ambulance and thankful for the support of our partners at Staebler Insurance Brokers and the Kitchener Rangers.”
The program is a partnership with the Kitchener Rangers, and the vehicle and insurance donation was presented at the club’s game on November 17.
