Stronger Together: Mitchell expands distribution network in Canada

Toronto, Ontario -- Seven of Canada's best-known auto recycling facilities are joining Mitchell International's Canadian recycled parts supplier network.

On Nov. 24, the San Diego-based company announced Carcone's Auto Recycling, JS Truckmart, Keystone Automotive Industries Inc., Millers Auto Recycling, Pièces d'autos Fernand Bégin, Pro Auto Recyclers and Standard Auto Wreckers parts would now be available through its Integrated Parts Platform.

The expansion allows automotive insurers and collision repairers using Mitchell Cloud Estimating in Canada to access live pricing and inventory data from the companies. The platform also provides real-time information on vehicle parts availability, pricing and delivery times.

"With Integrated Parts, we are building a comprehensive network of alternate parts providers that meet our rigorous standards for parts grading and inventory tracking," said Alex Landau, director of product management at Mitchell. "Adding these new suppliers to our growing network gives Mitchell's Canadian customers even greater flexibility to select the high-quality replacement parts needed for a proper, safe and timely repair."

David Gold, owner of Standard Auto Wreckers, believes the expansion addresses a significant gap in the Canadian market.

"Our whole goal here is to be a part of the solution to increasing the use of recycled parts in Canada," Gold told Canadian Auto Recycler. "The U.S. is way ahead of us when it comes to getting these parts into circulation."

Gold also praised Mitchell's approach to the partnership.

"Ryan Mandell is a very sharp guy," he said. "The auto recyclers involved want to work with them to get our parts exposed, and the stakeholders all win — the recycler, the repairer and the cost savings."

Mitchell International, an Enlyte company based in San Diego, serves more than 20,000 organizations daily for claims management.
