Toronto, Ontario -- Crush Software Solutions is joining the Ontario Automotive Recyclers Association as an associate member.
Crush Software Solutions will also participate in the 2026 OARA Convention and Trade Show as a Platinum sponsor with a double booth presence. The company said it plans to engage directly with Canadian recyclers during the event to showcase new features and gather feedback through early-access pilot programs.
Headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, the new company develops digital management systems for self-service automotive recyclers. It recently acquired the assets of S3 Software Solutions, developer of the Crush yard management platform used by more than 200 recycling yards across the United States and Canada.
Following the acquisition, the business now operates as Crush Software Solutions LLC, led by chief executive officer Ryan Paterson and chief operating officer Dimitri Gerontis, founder of the original Crush platform.
Industry veterans Tom D. Klauer Jr. and Kendig K. Kneen are among the lead investors, committing US$3 million to re-engineer the software and accelerate development of Crush 2.0—a cloud-based version featuring advanced analytics, real-time vehicle purchasing tools, and integrated marketplace connections.
“With the creation of Crush Software Solutions, we’re bringing together decades of yard experience, proven technology and the kind of industry partnerships that move automotive recycling forward,” said Klauer. “This isn’t just an upgrade—it’s a reset for how operators buy, sell and manage vehicles in a data-driven world.”
The updated system will introduce data-driven vehicle acquisition tools and enterprise-grade analytics designed to help operators optimize purchasing, pricing and throughput. The company’s goal is to double its footprint to more than 400 self-service yards by expanding access to a modern, cloud-hosted platform.
