Theresa Jachnycky (second from left), a Manitoba collision repair professional, business director at Gateway Autobody -- and Collision Repair contributor -- has been inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Automotive Trades Association of Manitoba.
“I’m honoured to share that I’ve been inducted into the Hall of Fame,” Jachnycky wrote, thanking the ATA, its selection committee, her family and industry colleagues.
The induction took place at an ATA industry event that included a formal introduction, delivered by Renee Sicotte of Marion Auto Body and Glass, a meaningful choice as Sicotte (far right) and Jachnycky had previously collaborated with fellow industry members Monique Bruneau and Shangri-la Abubo Hume to found the Resource Organization for Women in Collision.
Jachnycky has served in leadership roles with the ATA of Manitoba, including as a director. The award honoured her involvement in the ATA, various industry initiatives, as well as her role as a widely respected advocate for the collision industry.
“Collision repair is a discipline rooted in responsibility and trust,” she wrote in a social media post. “The ATA’s commitment to high standards, public protection and collaboration with MPI is what makes this industry strong.”
The ATA of Manitoba represents collision repair facilities in the province and works with Manitoba Public Insurance on standards, training and industry policy. Its hall of fame, launched in 2023, recognizes individuals who have helped shape the industry.
Past inductees include shop owners and industry leaders such as Cecil Freund, Les Heshka and Mark Loewen, as well as Brock Bulbuck, former chief executive and executive chair of Boyd Group.
