FCA US LLC has just recalled 1.3 million US-market Ram 1500 trucks due to the possibility that seat belts for the rear seat may not be properly attached to the truck.
2019-2026 model years are affected, with two of the three rear seat belts, the second-row centre and the second-row driver-side seat belt, having buckle anchors that may not be attached properly to the vehicle body structure.
An additional 156,138 vehicles will be subject to recall in Canada, 15,088 in Mexico and 74,084 in certain markets outside of North America. Affected vehicle owners will be notified by FCA US to contact their dealer to schedule an inspection appointment. Seat belt buckle anchors will be inspected and properly reattached if necessary, free of charge.
