Toronto, Ontario — Don’t blow your top, but Ford has begun a recall on more than 3,000 2021 Mustang Mach-Es due to reports of glass roof panels flying off the vehicle while in transit.
According to Ford, the issue in the 3,178 Mach-Es lies in the faulty adhesive used to bind the panoramic glass roof panel to come loose, and in some cases, fly off completely while on the road.
Ford plans to notify affected owners to bring their Mustang Mach-Es to the dealership so more adhesive can be applied.
For now the recall only affects the Canadian market, however, as all Mach-Es are built at the same facility in Mexico, a recall in the U.S. could be on its way.
