Toronto, Ontario — May 16, 2018 — The Fix AutoNetwork recently appointed Andy Raposo to the position of general manager for the network in Alberta and Saskatchewan. He is replacing Peter Polito, who will be moving to the Western U.S. in order to help develop the network in that region.

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to continue to grow my career with the dynamic Fix Automotive Network team,” said Raposo in the announcement. “The hard work and dedication of our entire team to drive the success of our franchisees and partners across the country is inspiring, and I’m looking forward to continuing to build on that momentum.”

Raposo, who joined Fix just a year ago as a strategic partner developer, will manage the strategic development of all Fix Automotive Network brands in Alberta and Saskatchewan, and continue to support operations of the current Fix Auto, NOVUS Glass and Speedy Auto Service locations.

Getting his start in a collision repair shop, most of Raposo’s career was spent working in the insurance side of the industry. This week, Raposo took some time to answer a few questions from Collision Repair magazine about his own success in the automotive aftermarket, his goals for the network in his region and the biggest lesson he has learned in his career.

Collision Repair magazine: Mr. Raposo, could you briefly tell us about your career path?

Andy Raposo: I had my first exposure to the automotive industry while working in my brother’s collision repair shop. I then moved into the insurance industry starting in the claims department. I spent nearly 25 years with a major national insurer, moving into a number of various roles and departments within the company before joining the operations team at Fix Auto.

CRM: In the next five years, what would you like to see the Fix Auto network accomplish in Alberta and Saskatchewan?

AR: I would like to see the Fix Auto Network continue to grow in both provinces and look forward to working with all of our franchise strategic partners to help them build and grow successful businesses. We want all of our Fix Auto, Speedy Auto Service and NOVUS Glass strategic partners to grow together as one family with one vision.

CRM: What is the most important lesson you have learned in your career so far?

AR: I’ve learned that to be successful you need to surround yourself with a great team.  Given the outstanding team that I am now a part of, I’m very excited about the successes the Fix Automotive Network will be able to achieve together.
