Vitamin K: Johnny K Group raises $7,000 at cystic fibrosis charity walk

Edmonton, Alberta — The incomparable Johnny K, of CARSTAR MSO fame, is proud to say that his group of Edmonton-area repair shops have managed to raise $7,000 for cystic fibrosis research.

With the combined power of six CARSTAR facilities at his disposal, Johnny Kloeckes and his army of collision experts attended the “Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History” on May 28, at Whitemud Park in Edmonton, where a total of more than $48,000 in proceeds were generated to fight the debilitating illness.

“Cystic fibrosis has become a cause very near and dear to our team and we were incredibly excited to find ways to raise money this year,” said Kloeckes.

“Uniting the community for a selfless cause was such a rewarding experience for all attendees and I am proud to play a small part in such a significant cause. My team and I are already excited about additional ways to get involved this summer.”

Driven Brands said in its press release that the walk serves as a precursor to a slate of community initiatives the company has planned for this summer; all of which stand to support cystic fibrosis research.

For its part, the Johnny K Group managed to raise $8,000 last August during CARSTAR’s “Soaps it Up” car wash.

Johnny Kloeckes is the owner of CARSTAR Edmonton Gateway, CARSTAR Edmonton Mayfield, CARSTAR Ellerslie, CARSTAR Edmonton South East, CARSTAR Express Edmonton South and CARSTAR Leduc North.
