Toronto, Ontario — Looking toward the future for the Canadian auto industry, the AIA High Fives for Kids Foundation has announced the recipients of this year’s Arthur Paulin Aftermarket Scholarship Awards.

The scholarship was introduced to provide monetary assistance of $700 to students looking to further their education in the automotive field.

This year, the scholarship was given out to seven students: Ayan Haqqani of Georgian College; Myungjin Choo, Nocolai Paladi and Madhavkumar Mendapara of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology; Morganna Sampson of Camosun College; Gregor Dayman of the Automotive Business School of Canada; and painter and body technician Ouedraogo Wendfanre Gedeon.

According to the Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA), part of the aim of the scholarship is to advance industry knowledge on the topics of auto body, hard parts, heavy duty and motive power.

Applicants must be enrolled in an automotive aftermarket industry related program or curriculum at a Canadian college or university to be eligible for the scholarship.
