Staying Afloat: Elite Body Shop hosting Positivity Summit for collision industry

Toronto, Ontario — Dave Luehr’s Elite Body Shop is hosting a Positivity Summit webinar for the collision repair today, highlighting how businesses can take advantage of this turbulent time and survive the ongoing crisis.

From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. EST (11 a.m. to 3 p.m. CDT) on Mar. 27, Luehr will be live with leading collision repair shop owners and managers to discuss ways to rise above the challenges currently facing the industry and find positivity in a negative situation.

“What does positivity mean to you? During an epidemic like we are facing now, it most certainly does NOT mean burying your head in the sand and ignoring current realities—quite the opposite, in fact.” said Elite Body Shop. “Positivity ‘done right’ means facing the challenges and finding the opportunities contained within. Life is tough sometimes, negativity only makes it tougher.”

Luehr confirmed with Collision Repair on Thursday morning that there are 12 scheduled speakers–mostly shop owners prepared to provide advice on finding the positive in negative situation.

Tom Bissonnette, director of the Saskatchwan Association of Automotive Repairers, is scheduled to make an appearance.

“It’s going to cover a wide range of topics,” said Luehr. “From safety measures to what shops should do in the event of slowdowns–we’re hoping to bring light to how the collision repair industry can emerge from the pandemic even stronger than before.”

The idea for the Positivity Summit came to Luehr less than a week ago, on Mar. 21. He was left inspired by Indiana, U.S. shop owner Greg Lobsiger’s post in a collision repair Facebook group, where he called on the industry for positive action.
