SEMA Scholarship: SEMA to host digital marketing bootcamp Oct. 30, ahead of show opening

Las Vegas, Nevada — In a move that should appeal to the most studious of collision repair professionals, SEMA Show organizers announced Thursday that it will be kicking off its educational sessions a full day ahead of the show’s public opening on Oct. 31.

Industry professionals will now have the opportunity to take part in a slate of educational workshops relating to digital marketing without having to wade through the massive crowds that are sure to converge on the Las Vegas Convention Center on opening day.

At the newly introduced “Digital Marketing Bootcamp”, attendees will learn how to take control of their business’ digital presence and gain the latest online marketing insights from executives at Kahn Media, Microsoft, Rhino Reviews, Strikepoint Media, (un)Common Logic and Walser Automotive Group.

“Never before has SEMA offered such a comprehensive digital marketing program that targets the needs of specialty-equipment individuals and businesses,” said SEMA Director of Education Pamela Brown-Matthis.

“Whether you’re new to digital marketing or a seasoned professional, the SEMA Digital Marketing Bootcamp delivers the knowledge and ideas to take your marketing campaigns to the next level and help your company thrive in this dynamic and fast-changing industry.”

Those that attend and complete the Digital Marketing Bootcamp sessions can also earn a SEMA Certificate of Completion if they complete at least two additional digital marketing sessions, according to the press release.

The schedule for the digital marketing bootcamp is as follows (All times in PST):

1:00 p.m.-1:30 p.m.: Kick-off Keynote: Digital Persuasion 2.0-Navigating the AI Revolution by Erin King of Strikepoint Media

1:45 p.m.-3:00 p.m.: Workshop Session #1: The Future of Digital by Jim McKinley of (un)Common Logic

3:15 p.m.-3:45 p.m.: Workshop Session #2: Unlock the Power of AI, Black Boxing and ChatGPT by Darrell Booker of Microsoft

4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.: Panel: The Impending Evolution of Digital Marketing & What You Need to Do to Thrive, moderated by Dan Kahn of Kahn Media featuring panelists: Erin King of Strikepoint Media; Jim McKinley of (un)Common Logic; Darrell Booker of Microsoft; Ashley Cavazos of Walser Automotive Group; and Chelsea Craig of Rhino Reviews.

The 2023 SEMA Show is set to run from Oct. 31 to Nov. 3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
