PPG debuts new value colour deck

Missisauga, Ontario — January 21, 2014 — PPG has introduced a dedicated colour tool for the value refinish user. The value colour deck provides a visual alternative for finding the best colour for a refinish repair. Consisting of 1,800 large colour chips, chromatically sorted and sprayed with refinish paint, the value colour deck is the latest addition to PPG’s comprehensive line of colour identification and matching solutions.

“PPG recognizes the importance of the value segment,” said Deb Nucciarone, product & marketing manager Refinish Canada. “The value colour deck is one more solution we can offer to collision centres for their vehicle repairs. For the repair technician, this is an affordable path to visual colour assessment. Our customers will quickly view the tool as an accurate and effective means to identify the right colour for the job.”

According to Nucciarone, the value colour deck provides the necessary colour information required for most cost-effective repairs. The tool will be updated annually.

Its chromatic colour display opens countless possibilities of colour choices independent of vehicle manufacturer, and the large chip size, with its continuous colour display, makes it easy to plaque the chip to the vehicle.

“As industry leaders we are committed to providing all our customers with the tools they need to do the very best refinish job possible,” said Mary Kimbro, PPG global colour director. “We want to support the value sector with efficient colour tools that simplify the colour identification process. The value colour deck will go a long way to ensure PPG customers have the right tools for the job.”

The value colour deck is the latest addition to PPG’s lineup of colour identification and matching tools that includes colour information books, Paint It, COLOURMOBILE and PAINTMANAGER software.
