Rainsville, Alabama — April 20, 2016 — Polyvance has released an instructional video for its Bumpersmith 2.0 system. The unit combines a nitrogen welder with a bumper repair station. According to a statement from Polyvance, the system was designed to support a bumper in almost any orientation, allowing a single technician to perform repairs without assistance.
The Bumpersmith 2.0 has a nitrogen trigger in the handle, saving nitrogen gas that’s only for use when welding. The trigger is actuated by the palm of the user’s hand, allowing the torch to be held in different ways depending on the orientation of the bumper.
The Bumpersmith 2.0’s adjustable bumper support pads fold up against the cabinet for a smaller footprint when stored, and the three drawers can be used to store plastic welding rods and specialty plastic repair tools, keeping plastic repair tools out of the dust.
