London, Ontario — July 24, 2014 — Compounding can be one of the most difficult steps in the traditional paint finishing process for vehicles. That’s why delivering a high-quality paint finishing job requires a lot of time and can lead to a delay in completing the vehicle if ignored. It can also be a huge mess!
To improve the process, 3M says its new Perfect-It Paint 1 Finishing System replaces messy compounds and heavy polishers with a one-step process that allows you to achieve a high-gloss finishing on today’s automotive paints. The product, which includes both a 3M Trizact abrasive disc and DA sander, will allow for deeper, glossier finishes; less time with a heavy polisher; reduced rework and comebacks; cleaner jobs and reduced time for detailing all with just one product.
“We want to make the paint finishing process easier and more efficient for paint professionals with the highest-quality products and technology,†says Denyse Mantha, Marketing Manager, for 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division.
