The Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association will host a webinar on advanced driver assistance systems calibration challenges facing the collision repair industry on Thursday, June 18, at 2 p.m. EDT.

The free one-hour webinar, titled “ADAS Calibration Issues, Challenges and Opportunities,” will feature Joel Adcock, Dan Dutra and James Spears.

According to CIECA, the session will address current issues surrounding ADAS calibration procedures, systems integration and standards development.

Adcock will discuss disconnects between OEM procedure data, estimate data and diagnostic data, as well as challenges related to calibration execution and documentation compliance.

Dutra will outline the need for industry standards for ADAS calibrations and review four segments of a comprehensive standards initiative.

Spears will examine the role of ADAS repair procedures in artificial intelligence estimating systems and discuss the growing use of AI-powered damage scanners. He will also address the importance of early coordination between repair facilities, ADAS technicians, parts suppliers and insurers.

CIECA develops electronic communication standards for the collision repair industry, representing repairers, insurers, OEMs, suppliers and technology companies.
