The Canadian Apprenticeship Forum has opened registration for its 2026 National Apprenticeship Conference, set for Oct. 4 to 6 in Whistler, B.C.
Held biennially, the conference -- themed Future Built: Apprenticeship for a Changing Canada -- will bring together employers, educators, labour organizations, policymakers and apprenticeship leaders from across the country to discuss the future of skilled trades training and workforce development.
According to conference organizers, the event will focus on how apprenticeship systems are evolving amid economic change, technological transformation, workforce shortages and increasing calls for equity and inclusion in the trades. Sessions will explore topics including labour market development, apprentice progression and completion, and workforce resilience across industries and communities.
The conference agenda will feature keynote presentations, workshops, networking opportunities and discussions centered on evidence-informed practices and cross-sector collaboration.
CAF-FCA says the event is intended for employers and industry leaders, apprenticeship authorities, training providers, labour groups, trades professionals and community organizations involved in shaping apprenticeship policy and programming in Canada.
Sponsorship and exhibit opportunities are also available, with several partnership categories already sold out, according to event organizers.
