
Montreal, Quebec — Driven Brands’ Evolution Conference kicked off yesterday, where its collision and glass franchisees, along with vendor partners and industry stakeholders, raised money for charity and witnessed stellar speaker presentations before celebrating opening night with a performance by beloved Canadian band the Arkells.
Representatives from CARSTAR Canada, UniGlassPlus, VitroPlus, Docteur Du Pare-Brise, Go!Glass and Star Auto Glass, plus industry stakeholders and partners, all gathered at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth for three days of networking and learning.
Tuesday commenced with a charitable spirit, as participants gathered for a meaningful Charity Walk at 10:00 AM. The walk united attendees in a shared cause, promoting awareness and support for a selected charitable organization.
Following the invigorating walk, the event transitioned into a day of enriching experiences. From 8:00 AM, the registration desk buzzed with anticipation as participants checked in and received their event materials, setting the stage for a day of learning and collaboration.
Sabrina Thring, the COO of CARSTAR Canada, and Maurice Filion, the President of Driven Glass Canada, welcomed the attendees with a heartfelt Welcome Message, emphasizing the significance of unity and collaboration among the diverse brands.
Michael Macaluso, the President and EVP of Paint, Collision, & Glass, delivered an inspiring Executive Leadership Message, setting the tone for innovation and growth within the industry. The event also featured a keynote address from a renowned speaker, offering invaluable insights and inspiration.
Franchisees that have shown exceptional commitment to the company’s charities of choice: Cystic Fibrosis Canada, the Breakfast Club of Canada and Breast Cancer Canada. Honourees were Johnny Kloeckes of Johnny K CARSTAR Group; Benoit Monette, Nathalie Poirier and Sylvain Jutras of Docteur Pare-Brise Saint-Adèle and André Dube, VitroGlass/Ziebart Saint-Jérôme.
Georges Laraque closed out day 1 with a keynote address, sharing the story of his NHL career.
