Nuts and Bolts: Canadian builders to lead SEMA’s 2022 Toyota GR86 measuring session

Diamond Bar, California — Star Canadian car builders and SEMA Show trailblazers Cole Marten and Chelsie Lesnoski are headed back south of the border next weekend, taking part in an event debuting the specs of the 2022 Toyota GR86, from the SEMA Garage in Diamond Bar, Calif.

The pair from Penticton, B.C. who made names for themselves at SEMA’s Battle of the Builders competition this year was called back stateside to take part in a measuring session of the brand new GR86 model, to show off the fine details of this new vehicle from Toyota.

Lesnoski has a noted affinity for imports, especially the 86 (and its Scion counterpart, the FR-S), a custom version of which accompanied her to her first SEMA Battle of the Builders appearance in 2019.

She said to Collision Repair, “If you told me I would’ve been debuting the new Toyota GR86 five years ago, I would’ve laughed in your face.”

The measuring session for the 2022 Toyota GR86 is set to run from Dec. 13-15. For more information on how to attend, click here.
