Coquitlam, B.C. -- CARSTAR has expanded its footprint in British Columbia with the opening of CARSTAR Coquitlam, a modernized 697-square-metre collision repair facility at 2760 Aberdeen Ave., Unit 1.
The facility continues more than 15 years of service to the Coquitlam community, now operating in an updated space designed to support increasingly complex vehicle repairs. The centre holds I-CAR Gold and CCC certification and is staffed by two body technicians, one painter, a prep specialist, a detailer and a customer service representative.
CARSTAR Coquitlam is owned by the Raydar Collision Group (RCG), a family-owned and operated group of collision repair facilities now operating under the CARSTAR banner. The group’s first facility, then called Raydar Autobody, opened in Mission, B.C. in 1977.
RCG is led by owner Bill Davidson, who has worked in the collision repair industry since 1993. He began his career as a technician before moving into management roles throughout the Fraser Valley. Davidson later served as manager of Autohouse Collision from 2000 to 2010 and joined RCG in 2018.

The opening marks RCG’s sixth CARSTAR location, joining CARSTAR Mission Raydar, CARSTAR Hope, CARSTAR Sunnyside in Surrey, CARSTAR Kelowna and Preston Collision CARSTAR Langley.
