The Ford F-150 remains Canada’s top-selling used vehicle, according to sales, inventory and pricing data from CarGurus.
Demand for pickups and SUVs was strong in June, and the Ford F-150 reported a 12.5% year-over-year increase.
Strong-selling vehicles with at least 1,500 sales during the month included the following:
- Nissan Rogue (+50.6%)
- Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (+29.3%)
- GMC Sierra 1500 (+29.0%)
- Toyota RAV4 (+18.1%)
- Hyundai Elantra (+15.3%)
- Ford Escape (+9.1%)
- RAM 1500 (+8.4%)
- Honda CR-V (+3.4%)
- Honda Civic (+2.2%)
Additionally, CarGurus tracked how fast used vehicles moved off dealer lots. The Honda Fit moved the quickest at an average of 30.3 days, and the 10 vehicles which sold the fastest in June all averaged less than 38 days. Models included the Toyota Yaris, Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, Nissan Frontier, Subaru Crosstrek, Toyota Venza, Mazda CX-5, Toyota Corolla Cross and Toyota RAV4.
Prices of luxury sedans decreased in the first half of the year, as recorded below:
- Audi A5 Sportback (-17.0% to $31,346)
- Acura TLX (-16.9% to $23,345)
- Jeep Patriot (-16.0% to $8,496)
- Infiniti Q50 (-15.5% to $24,527)
- GMC Savana Cargo (-13.6% to $26,857)
- Infiniti QX60 (-13.5% to $30,601)
- Chrysler 300 (-13.4% to $21,574)
- Kia Sedona (-13.3% to $15,539)
- Jaguar F-PACE (-13.0% to $35,483)
- Alfa Romeo Stelvio (-12.7% to $31,629)
The prices of EVs and SUVs increased in January to June, with the Nissan Armada rising 25.6% to $54,867. Vehicle price increases were also comprised of the following:
- Audi A5 (+17.5%)
- Hyundai Kona Electric (+14.1%)
- Lincoln Navigator (+13.1%)
- Audi S5 (+12.6%)
- Land Rover Range Rover (+11.8%)
- Ford Expedition (+11.4%)
- Nissan Leaf (+10.4%)
- Volkswagen Jetta (+9.4%)
- Porsche 911 (+8.4%)
