Acquisition Complete: Joe Hudson's joins Boyd Group

Toronto, Ontario -- The Boyd Group has announced the completion of its acquisition of Joe Hudson’s Collision Center on January 9, 2026.

The company said all regulatory conditions were satisfied prior to closing. The deal, first announced on October 29, 2025, adds 258 collision repair locations to Boyd’s network, primarily across the southeastern United States.

Joe Hudson’s Collision Center is one of the largest regional operators in the U.S. collision repair industry. Boyd previously valued the transaction at about US$1.3 billion. The company has said the acquisition is expected to generate annual run-rate synergies in the tens-of-millions of dollars as operations are integrated.

"Through the acquisition of JHCC, we are expanding our presence in the growing region of the U.S. Southeast, which was identified through our enhanced go-to-market strategy as a key growth region for Boyd," said Brian Kaner (pictured), president and CEO of the Boyd Group, in a press release announcing the acquisition.

"In addition to the geographic presence, which is complementary to our existing location footprint, JHCC's growth strategy, operational focus and culture are well-aligned with Boyd's, providing us with confidence in our ability to generate meaningful synergies as well as create strong value for our customers, insurance company clients and shareholders as a result of the acquisition."

The deal significantly expands Boyd’s footprint in the Southeast, a region it has identified as a key growth market.

The Boyd Group operates non-franchised collision repair centres across North America under brands including Gerber Collision & Glass in the United States and Boyd Autobody and  Glass and Assured Automotive in Canada.
