New Leadership: AIA Canada names 2026–2028 YPA Committee

The Automotive Industries Association of Canada has announced its incoming Young Professionals in the Auto Care sector Committee for the 2026–2028 term, alongside a new chair.

Effective April 30, the association has appointed Hitesh Patel, director at Transtar Aftermarket Solutions Canada, as YPA Committee chair. 

Patel brings more than 15 years of experience in the Canadian auto care sector, having held roles with Monaco Group, Carquest Canada/Advance Auto Parts, NAPA Auto Parts and Altrom Auto Group (UAP Inc.). A member of the YPA Committee since 2024, he has contributed to initiatives including the Mentoring Roundtable and was appointed the committee’s first vice-chair in 2025 following the formalization of its governance framework.

AIA Canada also confirmed 12 new members joining the YPA Committee for the 2026–2028 term:

 Shannon Langsford, Mevotech

The association also recognized departing committee members Shannon Tardiff, Devin TerMarsch, Stephanie Cooney-Mann, Derek Suen and Georgia Ludwig for their service to the YPA community.

The YPA Committee is a standing committee of AIA Canada’s board of directors and represents professionals under 45 working within member companies across the auto care sector.
