Innovative Business Series coming to Saskatchewan

Ottawa, Ontario — September 13, 2016 — AIA Canada is bringing its Innovative Business Series to Saskatchewan. The events bring together AIA leadership, local knowledge and expertise from different government offices, business intelligence agencies and other subject matter experts.

The first event in the Innovative Business Series took place July 6 to 10 during the 16th Annual Atlantic Nationals Automotive Extravaganza in Moncton, New Brunswick. The next in the series took place place September 7 at Paramount Eventspace in Woodbridge, Ont.  

According to AIA Canada, the Canada-wide series is designed to create a climate where innovating thinking can be applied to solve industry problems and bring forward best practices.

The Saskatchewan event will take place September 28, 2016, at Elk Ridge Resort in Waskesiu Lake, Sask.
Four speakers will be featured, in addition to a number of networking events.

Dr. Peter Frise of the University of Windsor will speak on “The Future of Automotive Technology.” Frise will examine where automotive technology is going and why, and how shops will need to respond to these trends to remain profitable in the future.

David Chalk will look back on the days when locking a vehicle was enough to secure it, and what’s needed today to keep vehicles safe. Chalk will dip into cybersecurity, hacking and what the future holds.

Marty Cobb, Executive Director of the Motor Safety Association, will present “Is Your Business as Safe as You Think?”  The Motor Safety Association’s stated goal is to reduce the number of injuries and the duration of those injuries in the automotive industry by educating businesses on the benefits of developing and maintaining an effective Safety Management System.

Finally, Bob Molle will present “Get Inspired to Achieve.” Molle is the only person to win an Olympic medal and a Canadian Football League Grey Cup championship. As a highly-accomplished sales executive, his holistic approach to goal-setting, coaching, leadership and teambuilding covers customer relations and personal situations that can impact on professional attitude and outcomes.
