Head Hunt: AIA Canada seeking Young Leader nominations

Toronto, Ontario — The Automotive Industries Association (AIA) of Canada is seeking nominations for its Young Leader of the Year award.

AIA’s Young Professionals in the Aftermarket committee is looking to recognize an individual under the age of 45, that excels in leadership, is involved in AIA as a volunteer, shows commitment to their community through volunteering and shows accomplishments both in and out of the industry.

The committee says the nominee should fit criteria in at least one of the mentioned areas—volunteering efforts, accomplishments and leadership, along with the noted age requirement.

The YPA Council Alumni Sub-committee will evaluate all applications, submit their choice for approval to the YPA Committee and final decision will be made no later than Apr. 1.

The winning recipient will be invited to attend the 2020 AIA Annual General Meeting as a guest and the award will be given during the event.

AIA Canada’s General Meeting was initially scheduled for Apr. 29, but will now be postponed amid the current health crisis.

Candidates that are not selected will be put forward for consideration in 2021 and 2022.

Signed and completed nomination forms, availabile here, should be filled out and returned to grace.moreland@aiacanada.com by Mar. 25.
