Ottawa, Ontario – While COVID-19 shutdowns may have largely brought schools across the country to a standstill, the folks at the Skills Canada Collision Repair Program have been busy putting together an online video series to keep repair students in the loop, even when they’re out of the classroom.
Leanne Jefferies, director of the Skills Canada Collision Repair Program, has been hard at work over the past months speaking with influential figures from across the industry on the latest aftermarket news and how to keep Canadian collision repair students engaged in their education while in-person training largely remains on hold for the time being.
The ongoing web series kicked-off in May with an interview with the president of the Global Automakers of Canada, David Adams. In the series’ latest edition, Jeffries sat down with Scott Wideman from VW Group Canada to talk training and education.
In furthering their commitment to the advancement of the collision repair industry, the Skills Canada Collision Repair Program is also running a contest where, in collaboration with Car-o-Liner, they will be giving away a brand new CTR-7 spot welder to one lucky Canadian post-secondary trade or vocational school.
