CARSTAR to dig in on North American presence as Fix looks overseas

Michael Macaluso and the CARSTAR and CARSTAR Sudbury team cut the ribbon on the franchise's 600th store.

Toronto, Ontario — July 19, 2018 — Just before CARSTAR officially cut the ribbon on its 600th store, CARSTAR Sudbury, senior franchise figures told a group of reporters to expect to see another 60 locations open their doors by the begining of 2019 – all of them in North America.

During a conference call with reporters, Michael Macaluso, CARSTAR’s president, John Harvey, vice president of sales and Jeff Labanovich, vice president of operations of CARSTAR Canada discussed the franchise’s strategy for growth.

The corporate leaders suggested that there is still plenty of room for growth. CARSTAR is looking to build up a presence in the Great Lakes region and in northern California, and would continue to bolster its presence in regions it already has franchises operating in.

CARSTAR has no immediate plans to take the franchise overseas. It will instead be “laser focused” on building up its presence in the North American market, according to company president Michael Macaluso. With its facilities evenly split between Canada and the U.S. and found in every province and 32 U.S. States, CARSTAR believes there is still considerable room for expansion within the continent. Macaluso, however, add that, when it comes to business, ‘Never say never.’
