Hamilton, Ontario — March 7, 2016 — CARSTAR Canada has announced an expansion of its network in British Columbia. Three new collision repair facilities have recently joined the roster: CARSTAR North Burnaby, CARSTAR Quality Assured Trojan and CARSTAR Richmond (New Profession).

CARSTAR North Burnaby is located at 1250 Boundary Road in Vancouver, BC. The facility is owned by Dean Lakovic. Lakovic has close to 30 years experience in the collision repair industry. CARSTAR North Burnaby is a family-owned business, founded by Lakovic’s father in 1984.

“I am excited about joining the CARSTAR team to leverage their leadership and operational procedures into my own business,” says Lakovic. “I look forward to a longstanding partnership with continued emphasis on serving our customers with quality care.”

CARSTAR North Burnaby is 8,000 sq.ft. and has nine employees, including a full time estimator, two painters and three body technicians. The location is situated on a main street on the Vancouver and Burnaby border. Lakovic is an active member in the community, supporting various children’s charities throughout the years.

CARSTAR Quality Assured Trojan is located at 3601 Shenton Rd. in Nanaimo, BC. The facility is owned by Emile and Brenda Houle. Their son Damien also works at the location, with succession plans in early discussions.

The location has recently undergone a series of upgrades and is one of the largest automotive facilities on Vancouver Island. A pivotal improvement in the renovation process allows for customers to access the estimating bay to see first-hand the damage and repairs necessary for their vehicle.

“Providing this type of transparency to our customers has helped us provide an exceptional customer experience and has led to our positive reputation throughout the community,” says Brenda.

CARSTAR Quality Assured Trojan is currently Honda Certified and a statement says the facility is working towards its Volkswagen certification. Within their community, Emile and Brenda support initiatives such as youth hockey and softball, local charity golf tournaments and every holiday season donate to food banks and women’s shelters to support those in need.

CARSTAR Richmond (New Profession) is located at 12331 Vickers Way in Richmond, BC. Daniel Lee, the facility’s owner, began his automotive repair apprenticeship in 1996 and later started his own business.

“Becoming a member of the CARSTAR network brings a lot of opportunity, as well as important training and knowledge that can be passed on to create a positive experience for our customers,” says Lee.

The 8,000 sq.ft. store is open six days a week to best serve customers and employs four body repairers, four detailers, two painters and five office staff, including one full-time customer service representative. Along with running his business, Lee has supported The BC Children’s Hospital over the past five years and also sponsors numerous community programs focusing on children and youth.
