Michael Golding of Allianz UK, the London-based UK arm of Germany’s Allianz Group and one of Europe’s largest automotive insurers, is joining the Plastic Repair Alliance Council.
Plasnomic, founded in 2025 and based in Chicago, is a global initiative dedicated to standardizing and certifying plastic repair processes in the collision repair industry. The organization builds standards, certification pathways, compliance benchmarks and structured training for plastic repair, with a focus on consistent quality, OEM compatibility, sustainability and reduced waste. It has established digital tools and frameworks to support repair traceability, technician certification and best-practice deployment worldwide.
The alliance council, formally established in May 2025, brings together senior executives and technical experts from collision repair MSOs, supply partners, OEMs, insurers and training bodies to shape global repair practices and benchmarks.
Council head Mario Dimovski, appointed in 2025, leads strategic oversight and governance of the global council. The council’s work includes gathering real-world repair data, developing consistent methodologies, and coordinating training and certification frameworks across regions.
Golding has more than 38 years of experience in motor accident repair and insurance claims. He started as an apprentice collision repair technician and advanced through roles in bodyshop estimating, management and insurance engineering.
In his current role at Allianz UK, Golding oversees development of the insurer’s repair network strategy, focusing on performance, technical standards and service delivery.
The Plastic Repair Alliance Council now includes representatives from major collision repair organisations, suppliers and insurers across North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Australia. It is being restructured to introduce defined representation across collision repair operations, insurance strategy, supply chain alignment, training and education, sustainability and OEM integration as Plasnomic continues industry engagement and expansion.
