The Role of OEMs in Canada’s Collision Repair Ecosystem
Introduction
Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) have become increasingly active in the collision repair world — through certification programs, parts policies, and direct relationships with shops and insurers.
This Collision Repair Magazine survey explores how that involvement is viewed across the industry: what’s working, what’s confusing, and where more collaboration is needed.
Your input will help shape national coverage in Collision Repair Magazine, EV Repair, and Bodyworx Professional, as well as guide future discussions between OEMs, repairers, and insurers.
This survey is designed to gather qualitative insight from Canada’s collision repair and insurance communities regarding the current and desired role of OEMs in the repair process.
The goal is to move beyond assumptions and collect authentic feedback on awareness, communication, and expectations — helping both Collision Repair Magazine and Nissan understand how the industry perceives OEM involvement and how future programs or outreach can be refined to meet real needs.
Results will inform a broader CRM Industry Insight Report, with findings shared in aggregate only.
