Board Meeting: Registration for INDASA 2022 Battle of the Boards now open

Toronto, Ontario — Trade in your halfpipe for a spray booth, INDASA’s 2022 Battle of the Boards competition is on and bringing together the best painters from across the globe in a showcase of some of the refinishing industry’s finest work.

This competition, held annually by New Jersey-based abrasives developer INDASA, tasks automotive painters with designing the most aesthetically pleasing skateboard deck they can, across a number of categories that include best airbrush, best hand brush and best prep/finish.

A rising star painter will also be recognized for having the best board among painters with less than five years of experience.

INDASA has yet to lay out the specifics of prize money, however, the company says the first 50 painters to apply to this year’s competition will receive a Skateboard Connection skate deck with a free INDASA product sample kit, custom t-shirt, and prepaid freight label for their board.

The next 25 applicants will receive a free Skateboard Connection skate deck and prepaid return freight. All other applicants must submit their own painted skate deck for judging.

Judging will take place during INDASA USA’s Annual Open House on Aug. 12 at the company’s corporate office and training academy in Fairfield, NJ.

Participating painters must ensure that their board is received in New Jersey by Aug. 5 to be considered for judging.

Registration for the INDASA 2022 Battle of the Boards competition closes on April 29 and space is limited.
