Back to Reality: CIC April meeting to be in-person/virtual hybrid

Pheonix, Arizona — The Collision Industry Conference (CIC) will be hosting its first in-person meeting in more than a year this April 20 and 21, though attendees do have the option of registering for the sessions virtually.

The CIC said the April meeting would discuss supplemental restraint system inspections, calibrations and electric vehicles.

“The agenda is set to include a special presentation from the Emerging Technologies Committee on SRS Repair Information & Inspection Best Practice Development and EV Servicing Essentials,” said the CIC. “This special presentation will include a review of the skills and tools needed to complete a calibration properly as well as discussing dynamic and static calibrations. It includes a panel discussion of subject-matter experts in the EV arena, presenting unique views into the challenges a repair shop overcomes with EV vehicles. In that same subject of ADAS, the Industry Relations Committee will discuss building stakeholder trust in the ADAS procedures.

While the event is an in-person-virtual hybrid, only CIC Gold Pin holders are invited to attend the Arizona session. All other attendees are directed online.

The CIC will be held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 21 and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 22.
