Toronto, Ontario — September 20, 2016 — Axalta Coating Systems has received the “Together We Will” Award from SickKids Foundation.
The “Together We Will” award recognized Axalta’s Ajax, Ont., facility as one of the top fundraisers for the recent Heatwave Durham 2016 10th Annual Corporate Challenge for SickKids softball tournament. For the second consecutive year, Axalta employees and family members donated to the SickKids Foundation. SickKids was Canada’s first pediatric hospital and is still one of the most highly-respected worldwide.
The award was accepted by Stephen Embrey, Site Administrator, on behalf of employees from Axalta’s Ajax manufacturing plant at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto.
“I am extremely proud of our Ajax employees for their efforts both on and off the field,” said Paul Chaney, Axalta Plant Manager-Ajax. “The Axalta teams showed dedication, commitment, and teamwork throughout the tournament. But, most important of all, they raised money for a great cause that impacts the lives of countless children and adolescents in our community.”
