El Monte, California — February 9, 2016 — Astro Pneumatic has launched two new products recently, but the brand name is where the resemblance ends. On the small end, the company has launched new 2- and 3-inch sanding discs. At the other end of the spectrum, Astro Pneumatic has introduced the Shank Super Duty Air Hammer/Riveter.
The new 2- and 3-inch sanding discs were developed for use with the company’s 320 and 321 Micro Sanders. The discs come in packs of 25 pieces and are available in seven different grits, ranging from 120 to 1000.
Astro’s second recent product launch is anything but “micro.” According to the company, the 4980 0.498″ Shank Super Duty Air Hammer/Riveter is the “biggest and baddest” air hammer on the market. This item clearly isn’t for light work. It has a number of applications in construction and industrial markets, but in automotive repair it’s primary purpose is for heavy-duty servicing of truck bushings, springs, king pins and more.
