Toronto, Ontario — Seneca Polytechnic and Siemens have announced a next step to the organizations’ long-standing partnership with the advancement of training tools for trades students.
Beginning this academic year, students in Seneca’s Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering Technology will benefit from a Siemens donation of a virtual reality (VR) manufacturing simulation kit and 25 seats of industry-leading Technomatix from Siemens’ Xcelerator portfolio of industry-related software.
With this donation of VR equipment, students will be able to experience an industry environment, including tech features such as virtual commissioning and in the case of automotive students specifically, simulated automotive manufacturing.
