Toronto, Ontario -- Bosch Diagnostics has released software updates 6.15 and 7.0 for its Bosch ADS X series scan tools, adding faster scan speeds, expanded 2026 model year coverage and new diagnostic reporting capabilities.

The update requires a two-step installation, with version 6.15 installed before updating to 7.0. The process prepares the scan tool for the latest software and reduces update times to under 10 minutes once complete. Automatic VCI firmware detection allows the tool to bypass installation steps when firmware is already current.

The combined 6.15 and 7.0 updates add more than 3,500 special tests and 1,100 system applications. The release also includes faster scan speeds across multiple vehicle makes, quicker software updates and the ability to merge PDF reports for diagnostic scans and calibrations.

“As 2026 model vehicles continue rolling into the market, Bosch remains focused on expanding coverage to ensure shops can service the latest technologies with confidence,” said James Latham, product specialist at Bosch Mobility Aftermarket. “At the same time, we’re streamlining the diagnostic process so technicians can access the information they need faster and with less effort, helping them keep pace with the complexities of today’s vehicles while delivering efficient, reliable service to customers.”

The release builds on earlier updates. Version 6.14 added 2025 and 2026 model year coverage, ADAS calibration capabilities, more than 9,000 special tests and 3,068 system applications, along with faster scans and streamlined home-screen account management. Version 6.13 introduced more than 8,800 special tests, 175 system applications and workflow changes including auto-delete reports, static calibration indicators and installation-speed optimization.

Bosch rolls out monthly software updates for its scan tools. ADS X users with active subscriptions receive updates automatically.
