Toronto, Ontario – February 12, 2019 — Robotic tool company Robbox has appointed Rodica Matei as chief executive officer.
Rodica brings more than 22 years of experience in purchasing, logistics and management in the manufacturing field, highlighted by a proven record of business development and profitability. In her most recent role as COO of Wedge Clamp Systems Inc., a manufacturing arm of the largest privately-owned automotive repair chain in Canada, she tripled sales in four years and opened new markets in North America and abroad.
“I’ve always been fascinated by technology and innovation and am excited to start this new chapter in my life,” says Rodica. “Now is the perfect time for me to apply my experience and knowledge to take Robbox to the next level.”
Robox is a startup tech company with a potentially game-changing line of digital robotic tools that feature innovations including proprietary micro-controllers, laser guides and digital motor systems designed to reduce unsafe and incorrect operation and to adapt to the user’s needs and habits – resulting in a faster learning curve, better workflow and superior working experience.
Robbox robotic tools are aimed at trade professionals as well as the DIY home consumer market.
The company was founded by Rodica’s husband Andy Matei, who is also an inventor and engineer.
It was distinguished by winning the prestigious Pinnacle Innovation Award from the United Investors Association of America, presented at the 2018 National Hardware Show in Las Vegas.
The company plans to secure capital and open a facility in the near future to begin mass production of its robotic tool lineup.
