Massillon, Ohio — October 16, 2014 — Pro-Spray Automotive Finishes has joined forces with The Custom Shop for its SEMA 2014 exhibit. Dubbed the “Copper Topless,” the showcased 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster will be the focus of booth #11253.
The roadster, a project taken on by The Custom Shop’s owner John Wargo, was a “barn find,” its scattered pieces discovered on the second story of a barn. Three years later, the vehicle finally saw completion with the following modifications: it now sports a Chevy Big Block 598 cubic inch motor with Vortech supercharger, dual side scoops, a motorized hood and trunk lid, two-tone custom interior, Cray wheels, rear view cameras, and of course a new paint job.
Featuring a Pro-Spray primer, sealer, basecoat, and clearcoat, the Copper Topless is decked in the colour Mango Tango Copper with ice pearl fading five colours from top to bottom. Detailed, airbrushed fire flames are seen on both sides of the roadster.
“I’ve been custom painting for 26 years and have used almost every brand of paint available,” says Wargo. “Pro-Spray has helped take my projects above and beyond what I ever imagined. The colors are extremely vibrant and the clearcoats make my custom paint jobs stand out at the highest levels.â€
SEMA’s show hours are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Nov. 4 to Nov. 6, 2014, and again on Friday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
