Sparwood towing company changes hands

Fernie, British Columbia — March 30, 2015 — A Sparwood-based towing company is now under new ownership. The Fernie Free Press reports the owners of DSR Holding Ltd., Glen and Jeanette Leyden, sold the company to father-son team, Mike and Phil Gust on March 20. “It was a good opportunity and something the community needed,” Mike said in the report. “[We’re going to] try to expand a little bit more and provide the best service possible.” Community members gathered at the Industrial Road 3 address on March 27 to celebrate Glen and Jeanette’s last day of business before entering into retirement. Proceeds from office furniture and supplies sold during the event were donated to a local thrift store, New To You Clothing Society. DSR had served the community and surrounding area for over three decades.
