Nahle, Lebanon — September 27, 2012 — Every once in a while we come across a story that technically has nothing to do with the Canadian towing and recovery business, but we feel we have to share anyway. This is one of those times.

A Lebanese man named Alex Riachi wants to get into the Guinness Book of World Records for towing two trucks at a combined weight of over 10 tons. That might not seem Guinness-worthy, but he isn’t using a truck. He’s pulling them with his ponytail.

This story gets even weirder the more you look into it, because it turns out that there’s actually an existing record for him to beat. A man in India is the official record-holder for hair-towing, but his record stands at a comparatively measly 6.4 tons.

Raichi is also reportedly able to smash large rocks to pieces with his hands and can sustain a 700 kg rock on his chest.
