A Canadian collision repair management platform has been added to the technology options available to more than 105 dealer-owned repair facilities.
ImEX Systems was named a preferred technology partner of Consolidated Collision Services. Founded in Vancouver in 1994, ImEX develops management software for collision repair businesses.
CCS is a Woodbridge, Ont.-based network comprising more than 105 collision repair centres connected with 230 new-car dealerships across Canada. Its members hold more than 290 OEM certifications.
CCS members will have access to ImEX Online, a cloud-based platform for estimating, scheduling, parts management, billing, invoicing and reporting. Onboarding, training and continuing technical support are also included.
The platform can transfer information between collision estimating software and dealership management systems. This is intended to reduce manual data entry when employees create and update repair orders.
The integration is compatible with dealership management systems from CDK Global, Reynolds and Reynolds and Calgary-based PBS Systems.
“Our members asked for a shop management platform that understands how dealer-owned collision centres actually operate,” said Charles Aubry, general manager of CCS.
Aubry said dealer-owned facilities must manage OEM procedures, warranty requirements and manufacturer scorecards in addition to work orders.
James Rome, president of ImEX Systems, said information is often divided between production boards, email inboxes and separate software systems. He said the platform brings estimating, scheduling, parts and invoicing together.
Rome said the immediate priority is to help participating CCS facilities introduce the system and move “more vehicles through the door.”
ImEX software will also be included in CCS training and member resources. Staff from ImEX and CCS will take part in joint webinars, member communications and events, including the annual CCS Conference and ACE: The Automotive Conference & Expo.
Established in 2013, CCS is owned entirely by new-car dealers and is a division of Consolidated Dealers Co-operative Inc.
