Mississauga, Ontario — CARSTAR Mississauga 401 and MGM Auto Group recently raised over $10,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Canada at a Soaps it Up Car Wash charity event.
Held on Saturday, June 22 at the CARSTAR Mississauga 401, “the event united community members and sponsors in a day of joyous activities and generous contributions,” said a recent press release.
The press release further noted that a highlight of the event “included an electrifying performance by the Toronto Raptors’ North Side Crew, delighting guests with their dynamic routines. Families enjoyed a range of attractions, from a lively bouncy castle to mouth-watering burgers expertly grilled by CARSTAR Brampton’s General Manager, Frisk. Maple Lodge Farms enhanced the culinary delights by providing and cooking barbeque and hot dogs on-site, ensuring all attendees enjoyed savoury treats.”
Adding to the festive atmosphere, the 2103.5 radio station broadcasted live from the event and offered both music and giveaways.
A silent auction also took place, featuring gift baskets, which the press release stated contributed “significantly to the fundraising efforts.”
“We are thrilled by the overwhelming support from our community and sponsors,” said Mike Cherneta, owner of CARSTAR Mississauga 401. “This event not only raised vital funds but also showcased the power of coming together for a meaningful cause.”
