Toronto, Ontario — A new study shows that when Subaru drivers aren’t busy talking about owning a Subaru, they can almost just as often be found pulled over by a cop for speeding in their Subaru.
The Subaru WRX has been named the vehicle with the most speeding tickets in the United States for the third consecutive year, according to Insurify.
Insurify’s study shows that 18.8 percent of WRX drivers have at least one speeding ticket issued to their vehicle, with its sibling BRZ cracking the number five spot, with 16.21 percent.
The GMC C1500 pickup truck proved the biggest outlier in the study, with 15.31 percent of its drivers showing a need for speed.
Insurify collects the research through more than four million insurance applications, spanning 393 vehicle models.
