Toronto, Ontario — August 28, 2019 — Boyd Group’s impressive U.S. repertoire continues to grow with its two latest acquisitions in Alabama. Both collision facilities, operating under the name Auto Collision Experts, were sold to the group’s Gerber Collision & Glass division last week.
Recent COO of Boyd Group, Tim O’Day, expressed excitement over the sale.
“We look forward to providing the same high-quality service that these customers and insurance partners have come to expect in this region,” he said. “These acquisitions reinforce our brand in this area and the Annison location helps fill a gap between our repair centers in Birmingham and Atlanta.”
Boyd Group’s continued investments into U.S. companies –including the acquisition of 16 New York locations — could prove beneficial long term if forecasts of the Canadian dollar on the rise hold true. Boyd’s income fund did report a strong second quarter this year, touting a 25.4 percent increase in sales from 2018.
