Toronto, Ontario – May 24, 2019 – Between the U.S. President’s spat with the House Speaker and Moby’s major faux pas, you might not have paid too much attention to what has been happening in the collision industry this week. Don’t worry, Collision Repair has you covered with our quick recap of the five most important industry headlines from the past week.

Promising Partnership

Up in Flames

A fire destroyed two auto repair shops in Surrey, B.C. on Sunday morning. Fire crews arrived on the scene, where Fountain Tire and Speedy Glass were engulfed in flames. The fire chief on the scene said it is too early to determine how the fire started exactly, this is the second fire to erupt in the same area within the span of a month. Jack’s Public House, which is blocks away from the Speedy Glass and Fountain Tire, was also destroyed in a fire that was deemed suspicious only a month ago.

Major Milestone

Simplicity Car Care has reached a major milestone. The Ontario-based franchise, which was founded in 2017 by Domenic Ieraci and his cousins, brothers Domenic and Paul Prochilo, has opened up its 25th location. Simplicity recently opened up four new franchises across Canada which include, Calgary Foothills, Ottawa Airport, Stouffville KIA and Hamilton.

Honda’s Recall
