Airdrie, Alberta -- Fix Auto Airdrie welcomed community members to its annual Stampede-themed barbecue over the weekend, raising more than $700 for Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta.
Despite rainy weather, staff fired up the grill and delivered a full afternoon of family-friendly fun that drew a steady crowd.
The event featured a free barbecue in true Stampede style, along with entertainment for children and adults alike. A kids' colouring contest offered Hot Wheels-themed prizes, while guests also took part in raffles for a variety of giveaways. A bouncy castle on site kept younger attendees smiling, while music and giveaways from local radio station Air106FM added to the festive atmosphere.
Fix Auto Airdrie’s team, led by manager Crystin, was joined by community partners including Kal Tire, Sunbelt Rentals, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Save-On-Foods Kingsview and Air106FM. Organizers credited the success of the event to both their staff and supporters, many of whom dropped by to donate or simply show their support.
The event is part of Fix Auto’s wider commitment to community involvement and charitable giving across its network. RMHC Alberta, the event’s fundraising recipient, provides housing and support to families with children receiving medical care, helping to ease their burden during times of crisis.
