Matrix to host auction in support of collision repair education

The silent auction will be held in support of promoting collision repair training programs.

Walled Lake, Michigan — October 31, 2013 — Matrix System Automotive Finishes is proud to announce that it will host its first annual silent auction to help support the Collision Repair Education Foundation. All custom artwork from more than 20 automotive artists will be on display at SEMA inside booth 11025.

The idea behind Artists 4 Education is to raise money through fundraising activities that involve the expert skills of the automotive industry’s top artists across the country. Additionally, with the participation of various industry partners such as Nuplex Resins, M.F. Cachet Company, Chromaflo Technologies, Dan-Am Company/SATA, Airbrush Action, Anest Iwata, Dedoes Industries, Dorn Color, Miller Electric, FBS – Finding Better Solutions and Pro-Spray Finishes, cash donations and items were donated to help support the cause.

During the show, painters such as Steve DeMan (Kolor Kings), Bugs (Bugs Auto Art), Flea, Ryan Evans (Counts Kustoms), and Josh Bourassa (True Kustom Industries), will be pinstriping various items exclusively with Matrix System products. All of these painters have been in the industry for over 20 years doing what they love. Visitors are encouraged to stop by to see them in action.

“Our 1st annual Artists 4 Education campaign has been a huge success. We have reached out to organizations that have benefited for many years from the PBE industry for additional support. It is our responsibility as industry participants to support the Collision Repair Education Foundation,” says David Brunori, president of Quest Automotive Products. “The sole purpose of this endeavor is to raise awareness to the growing shortage of certified technicians entering into the collision repair industry – it is that simple. The automotive artist community has stepped up in a big way and we are humbled by the commitment of these individuals.”

Matrix System Automotive Finishes is committed to assisting these foundations to help the many schools and students across the country that can benefit from some financial or equipment support.

“If we can help one student enter into this growing industry, the mission was a success.” says Brunori.
