Live@SEMA: Cam Miller named ‘Ultimate Builder’

Cam Miller of HS Customs won the 2016 Battle of the builders with this 1969 Chevy Camaro.

Las Vegas, Nevada — November 4, 2016 — Cam Miller has been named “Ultimate Builder” for his resto-modded 1969 Chevrolet Camaro at the 2016 SEMA Show’s Battle of the Builders. Miller is the owner/operator of HS Customs, located in Logan, Utah. The build took three years to complete.

This year’s Battle of the Builders started with over 200 cars and 98 competitors trying to win the title of Ultimate Builder. A panel of industry experts consisting of David Freiburger, Executive Producer for TEN: The Enthusiast Network; Fred Williams, Editor-At-Large, Petersen’s 4-Wheel & Off Road and RJ de Vera, Customer Engagement Leader for Meguiar’s, narrowed the field first to 21 cars, then narrowed the field even more to select the Top Ten.

The Top Ten competitors were then given the task of judging each others’ entries. They selected the final three: Jesse Greening, 1961 Chevy 2 Door Sedan; Cam Miller, 1969 Chevy Camaro and  Kyle Tucker, 1941 Willys 2 Door Coupe. Miller may have taken the top prize, but there’s no denying that every entry in the competition is a sweet machine in its own right.

Miller was announced as the winner of the 2016 SEMA Battle of the Builders at SEMA Ignited on November 4. This is a public event that takes place after the trade-only SEMA Show closes.

SEMA Ignited is the only part of SEMA that’s open to the public. It allows members of the auto enthusiast community a chance to see many of the industry’s latest advanced on display for the professional market during the 2016 SEMA Show.
