I-CAR to present ‘OEM Linking Pin’ at Great Designs in Steel 2014

Hoffman Estates, Illinois — May 2, 2014 — I-CAR will help OEM engineers understand the challenges the Collision Repair industry faces with repair of today’s advanced steel vehicles. Steve Marks, I-CAR’s Industry Support Manager and one of I-CAR’s collision repair subject matter experts, will speak during the “AHSS Repair and Safety Technologies” track at the Great Designs in Steel 2014 Conference on May 14 in Livonia, Mich.
“I-CAR is committed to serving as the technical `linking pin’ between the Collision Repair Inter-Industry and OEMs, working methodically in collaboration with OEMs to improve awareness of repair challenges that lead to common solutions, reduce and eliminate gaps in repair information, while improving standardization and industry accessibility to the information required to support proper repairs.” Marks said. “And it is important to know that our ‘linking pin’ activity is one of four key elements in I-CAR’s Repairability Technical Support program, which is designed to provide enhanced technical support to the industry, supporting complete, safe and quality repairs for the ultimate benefit of the consumer.”
The Great Designs in Steel 2014 conference is the premier forum for the latest trends and applications in automotive steel technologies.
